Akon announces 'The Superfan Tour'
Award-winning vocalist Akon has announced a late 2023 tour across North America promoting his new EP 'Afro Freak'. The Superfan Tour kicks off November 2nd in Atlanta and runs into December hitting tons of major markets including Philadelphia, New York, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Dallas. The singer recently wrapped up an appearance at Hot in Herre 2023 along with T.I., Ne-Yo, Nelly, Rick Ross, Keri Hilson, Ja Rule, Fat Joe and Chingy.
Akon released his most recent EP 'Afro Freak' on August 25th, 2023 via Konvict Kulture. His previous 2019 studio album features guest appearances by Olamide, Kizz Daniel and Afro B among others. Back in 2007, he won Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist at the American Music Awards while joining Gwen Stefani during portions of The Sweet Escape Tour. Since beginning his career in 1996, the veteran singer-songwriter has collaborated with dozens of artists including Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Becky G and Farruko.
